Oman is a historic country and there are considerable travel attractions in Oman for visitors. Some of them are described below;
Musandam Fjords
This is a place of huge waters. A tourist can sail a ship in these waters. It is surrounded by mountains and that gives an amazing look. All around the place there is a beautiful shade of blue color.
Khasab Fortress
Khasab Fortress is a symbol of dignity. It is a reflection of Omani and Arabic arts. It is well maintained by the concerned government authorities. The city of Khasab has its own historical importance and it is the capital of Musandam region. The fortress is rebuilt for a number of times during the reign of different kings.
Muscat
The capital of the country is Muscat. All around the city a visitor can see buildings which are constructed with balconies and having an eastern-African wooden style. As Muscat remained a place of many renowned kings of Oman, the capital is full with a number of fortress. The city has a lot of facilitation for all sorts of tourists. Different tourists can get their local food items in Muscat. There has been a lot of investment by the government to make it a most desirable place for tourists. There are markets and shopping malls as to where tourists can visit. There are museums in the capital which contain masterpieces of the cultural reflection of Oman. There are beautiful masjids throughout the capital and these masjid are a reflection of Islamic culture and traditions in the country. There are areas near the seas that tourists can visit.
Masirah Island
This Island is known for its beauty and waters. A visitor can see ships sailing all over the place. A great number of tourists do visit this place in order to see the glory of sea. Throughout a year there is a considerable rush of tourists. There are a number of beaches in this Island and one can watch turtles laying eggs all over the place. Those who have never seen these, such sites are a great source of inspiration and amazement for them.
Taqah Castle, Mirbat
Taqah castle was constructed in the 19th century and it is situated in the historical city of Mirbat. The castle is well preserved and it is maintained in its original shape. It used to be a permanent residence of Omani King Sheikh Ali bin Al Ma’shani Timman.
