Badshahi Masjid
This Masjid was constructed by King Aurangzed in 1671. It is a beautiful reflection of Mughal arts. The exterior of the Masjid is decorated with carved red sandstone. This Masjid is recognized as the second biggest masjid in Pakistan before Shah Faisal Masjid was constructed it was recognized as the biggest Masjid of the country.
Lahore Fort
Just next to Badshahi Masjid, a Lahore Fort is situated and this fort has a total area of more than 20 hectares. A person can see 21 monuments within this fort. It was constructed in the 16th century. It was constructed by King Jalal Uddin Akbar. Both Islamic and Hindu arts are reflective in this masterpiece. After its initial construction the predecessors of Mughal emperor held this fort and added to the glory of it. During the reign of King Shah Jahan it was decorated with Persian arts. After Mughal emperors, Ranjit Sikh took control of Lahore and Lahore fort.
Lahore Museum
Lahore museum was founded in 1865. It was constructed during British colonial era. It is recognized as the biggest museum of Pakistan. Within this museum Buddhist and Gandhara ancient arts is a source of inspiration fortourists. Within this museum there are paintings of Mughal kings and Mughal empires. Along with Pahari paintings also display all over the place. One can see musical instruments, some of the jewelry from past times and pottery that is obtained from Gandhara arts.
Minar E Pakistan
Minare-e-Pakistan is situated in the center of the city and it is recognized as a national monument. It was constructed between the period of 1960-1968 and it was constructed at the place as to where All-India Muslim League passed the resolution for an independent state. It is a reflection of Mughal and Islamic arts.
Famous Cuisines In Lahore Lahore is known for its delicious cuisines. The famous cuisine in Lahore are Chicken Lahori. Such a cuisine comes with chicken, curry and a unique combination of spices. Gosht Karahi consists of Beef or meat and such a cuisine is cooked with tomatoes. Dal ghosht is a cuisine that is cooked with meat and pulses. Gol Gappa is a cuisine that is made up of wheat by using baking powder with it and further it is served with sour water.
